In our collaboration with Sudima, Outside In added an abundance of planting throughout central areas of the hotel. This helps elevate the guest experience, supporting the hotel’s occupancy goals. By prioritising views of nature, guests at Sudima Auckland Airport enjoy the many evidence-based benefits of biophilic design – ensuring they will head onto their next destination refreshed. Our Outside In designers took inspiration from the hotel’s interior scheme, furnishings and colour palette to create a warm and welcoming experience. Greenery creates an authentic connection to nature. Planting gives guests their own private leafy spaces.

Lush foliage creates restful nature-filled nooks. Wall-hung planters bring an abundance of living greenery, without impeding foot traffic. Planting in the hotel’s restaurant and bar invites guests to linger and take their time exploring the food and drink selections. Custom plant troughs in the dining area feature a lockable wheel system, allowing the Sudima team to easily and quickly reconfigure parts of the restaurant. Unique and textured planters add elegant touches in the outdoor dining area. They promote patronage, whatever the weather. In the pool area, planting turns a wall into a photogenic feature.
